About BAM

BAM began in 2009, when I was looking for a dance class for my son, Buster, who has Down Syndrome. Finding there was nothing suitable for his needs, I started our "BAM Allstars" dance classes. Now, in 2021, we have grown to a community of over 150 students, and we run many other classes and programmes, all based around creative and performing arts.
In 2019 we took a big leap forward, establishing a BAM HQ in Frankston, Victoria, From this site we are able to offer weekday programmes in music theatre, drama, multimedia and visual art, as well as our dance classes, which run on Saturdays and weekday evenings. Apart from our Frankston site, we also run dance classes in Brighton, Highett and Wonthaggi.
We are not Down Syndrome specific - we are open to people of all abilities, and from ages 3 right through to adults. It is our mission to continue to grow and develop new creative and performing arts programmes for people with disabilities.

We've been delighted to realise that we are also providing a fabulous social community for people. Friendships and connections are made while students share a common interest. ​
